Worried about a parent living alone?

With PulseGuard they tap once a day to say they're okay. If a day goes by without a word, we remind them first, then let you know so you can check on them.

Ask them from the app. Nothing starts until they agree.

Free to start. On Android, use it in your browser today. Google Play is coming soon.

The PulseGuard check-in screen showing 'Done. Checked in today at 8:12 AM' and the two people who can see it.

What you receive if they go quiet

Not a siren. A calm email that says exactly what we know, and asks you to do one thing.

  • When they last checked in, shown in your own time.
  • A clear ask: get in touch with them if you can.
  • One link to mark them safe once you know they're alright.
  • It never claims something is wrong. It only tells you they stopped confirming they were fine.
An example of the email your Care Circle receives.

How it works

No phone call at nine every morning just to be sure. Nothing to learn, either.

  1. 1

    Check in once a day

Open the app and press one button. That is the whole thing.

  2. 2

    Choose who can see it

Invite the people you trust to your Care Circle. They can see whether you have checked in.

  3. 3

If you go quiet, they're told

Miss your check-in and we remind you first. If we still hear nothing, we email your Care Circle so someone can check on you.

The PulseGuard vault with notes about an email account and a life insurance policy, each showing who it goes to.

The Legacy Vault

Write down the things your family would need to know, and could not ask you later.

  • Where the documents are kept, who to telephone, what you would want done.
  • You choose who each note is for. It stays private to you while you use your account.
  • Record short video messages for the people you name.
  • Released only if your account falls silent for a long time, after we have tried to reach you and a person at PulseGuard has reviewed the case. Any sign of life from you stops it immediately.

The Legacy Vault is not a will, and PulseGuard never holds or manages money or property. It delivers what you wrote to the person you named.

Who it's for

Built for the person checking in, and for the family who wants to know.

Parents living alone

Large text, big buttons, three screens and no more. Often set up by a son or daughter.

People on their own

Living solo, working away or travelling. Someone will notice if a day goes by.

Families who live apart

Your Care Circle is told by email. They can open PulseGuard in any browser, so there is nothing to install.

What PulseGuard is not

We would rather you know this before you rely on it.

Not an emergency service. We do not call the police or an ambulance. We send messages to the people you chose, and it is then for them to act. If you are in danger, contact the emergency services directly.

Nobody is watching a screen. Alerts are produced by software on a schedule. There is no monitoring centre and no person on duty.

Not a medical device. PulseGuard does not detect falls, monitor your health or give medical advice. A missed check-in means only that a button was not pressed.

Not a will. Writing your wishes in the vault does not make them legally binding on anyone.

Questions

What happens if I miss a check-in?

We remind you first, so a busy morning does not alarm anyone. If we still hear nothing from you, the people in your Care Circle get an email asking them to check on you.

Does my family need to download anything?

No. Your Care Circle is told by email, and can open PulseGuard in any web browser.

What if I don't want to check in every day?

That is a supported way to use PulseGuard. Instead of a daily press, the app can notice if your account falls silent for a stretch you choose. Simply opening the app counts.

Who can read my vault?

Only you, while you are using your account. A note is released to the person you named only after a long silence, our attempts to reach you, and a review by a person at PulseGuard.

How much does it cost?

PulseGuard is free to start. Paid plans add more, and the current prices are shown in the app.

Let them know you're okay.

A few minutes to set up, and one tap a day after that.
